Well, vacation was a success. Even though a) we got moved from our usual condo due to hurricane damage and b) the place we were at didn’t have their outdoor pool ready, it was all good. The Gulf was warm and calm all week, with only the occasional jellyfish sighting. Lots of fish in the shallow water near the shore which was cool. Also, the condo we ended up at looked, well…..ghetto from the outside (due to being in the middle of repairs) but the units inside were very nice. The 2 bigger bathrooms were HUGE (I swear I almost got lost in ours once, it was scary), and seriously, there was an echo. There was only one storm all week (I think), and sunny the rest of the time – even got a little tan! And no burn! Plus we got to see Emily’s great-Aunt and some of her family, and they got to see Noah for the first time.
Speaking of the little guy, he picked up 8 new signs over the week – Gammy, Granddaddy, apple, ice cream, wet, dry, doll, and music. Everyone was impressed with him. He had a good ol’ time, even though he got a cold.
Speaking of which, time to go see if I can get him to go sleep….
